Life In Seven Dreams

‘Life in seven dreams’ is the seventh album in seven years from Laughing Stock. It contains seven new songs that fit together as a suite of dreams. The production of the album has been long and difficult for all members of the band (Jan Erik Kirkevold Nilsen, Håvard Enge and Jan Mikael Sørensen), because of personal struggles. It’s been a tormenting year, and the final album is manifest to that. Some bits are beautiful, and some bits are dark and violent or somewhere in between. The songs are bound together by a recitation of the poem ‘A dream within a dream’ by Edgar Allan Poe. We were very happy when Colin Bass of Camel agreed to do the recitation. In addition to Colin Bass we are proud and grateful to once again get help from Tim Bowness on a track (‘Not Today’). We also have Bjørnar Kristiansen of the doom metal band Dwaal guesting, as well as Terje Johannesen on trumpet.
