Please keep moving, please don't stop here! Even more than two decadesafter their formation, Urlaub in Polen continue to celebrate anaesthetic of transience—an experience bounded by time, poured into theproject’s very name—set against a continuous flow of new impressions anda suitcase slowly filling with memorabilia. After a longer hiatus, their2020 album All marked a return with a warped take on krautrock, adirection which their new release Objects, Beings and Parrots bothfollows and expands upon. In true eclectic tradition, it venturesfurther into diverse genre territories—always exploratory, yet neverlosing its thread. Multi-instrumentalist Georg Brenner and drummer JanPhilipp Janzen blaze a trail through a dense web of references (see alsothe cover collage merging tile selections, retro interior suggestions,and archaeology textbook cutouts), evoking a warm feeling of being takenalong for the ride—even as the band refuses to be pinned down to anyclear musical category.
